Rose Cottage in Appledore, Kent is a quaint cottage in a lovely Kent village, with views towards open countryside at the front and a secluded garden to the rear.
The cottage was originally part of the Crown Estates and dates from around 1850.
It is situated on a quiet lane on the edge of the village, just a few minutes walk to the centre.
Appledore is on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty and has a 13th century church, village store, restaurant/pubs, antique and tea shop.
The village lies on the edge of Romney Marshes and beside the Royal Military Canal.
The cottage consists of a large sitting/dining room with a working log fire, fitted kitchen and bathroom. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, the master bedroom includes a pretty decorative fireplace. The second, single bedroom is at the rear and sits under the eaves. With the third bedroom suitable for a child under 11 years. At the rear is an enclosed garden with lawn, patio and garden furniture. The cottage can accommodate up to 3 adults and 1 child plus well behaved dogs.
The cottage lies beside the Saxon Shore Way which takes you on a walk around the old coastline of
Kent as it was in Roman times. The path connects with the 1066 Countryside Walk and the Royal
Military Canal Path which you can join beside the church in the village.
Appledore also lies on a regional cycle route and offers rides through the marshes towards the
sea and northwards through Tenterden towards Tunbridge Wells taking in the Garden of England scenery.
